Three interwoven tales of the lost and found nature of love. The first opens with the fragile domestic bliss of Jing, a blind nightclub singer, and her younger sister Meigo. Butch accordionist Chalkie upsets the balance of their relationship by falling for Jing and inspiring Meigoâs first big crush. To offer Meigo a more secure future, Jing wants to place Meigo in foster care with a wealthy family, causing Meigo to rage with jealousy and risk losing both of the women she loves. The middle story belongs to Lily, an Alzheimerâs patient who endlessly searches for her lost lover, Ocean. When Yen, her sham husband from long ago, comes to visit with his own suitcase of troubles, Lily often mistakes him for the butch Ocean returned, and the two wounded friends build on a sympathy they have always shared. The final segment follows Chalkie, coming-of-age with best pal Yen, and coming to terms with her complicated feelings for girls. She meets the young Lily and both claim their futures, which arrive in unexpected ways.
